A year ago when I asked, I was told I would need ID or proof of residence (Utility bills)

3 months ago, I was told open a bank, get an address, open a new account and let us know and we will transfer your balance and close the old one.

Now:

Nefi: Welcome to our live chat service. How may we help you?
Sean: Hey, with all the mess in the US, I plan to head up to Canada for a bit. Once I have an address and Canadian bank account, how do I update my neteller account?
Nefi: You can change the information online, or contact us to change it for you.
Sean: Ok. Sounds good.
Sean: Do you have any idea how much longer your services will be available in the US if you had to guess? Thanks!
Nefi: We continue to monitor the situation and will make any changes necessary when the law is intriduced.
Sean: Ok.Thanks a bunch. Have a good evening.

Key phrases being: Change your account online and WHEN the law is introduced.

Some will say this is only a rep, but it would be ridiculous to think the reps dont have a script for these questions at this point.

sean, as you may know, Neteller was not permitted in Maryland due to some kind of stupid law in my home state. When I was living there and working here in VA, I used the VA address. I *even* contacted them and said "I am moving from MD to VA so what do I need to do other than change my address online? Do I need to change my banking information or what?"

Neteller was like, "No, just change your address and as long as your bank information is still good, it doesnt matter where the bank is, it will work."

So I am not surprised if it can be relatively easy to switch to a Canadian address in Neteller.

Sean, yesterday you said you were done and today you're pursuing Canadian citizenship? Make up your mind man, you're suffering from Bigbet syndrome.

If you read everything I said, I said two things:

I am not playing now because I think when neteller folds, many books may follow.

I also said once the industry stabilizes, I would likely be back.

I have never said I hate gambling. I have said I hate losing my money.

Now, doesnt it make sense to know my options for once things stabilize? That is what a prudent person and decision maker does.

I actually hope neteller closes off US accounts very soon so stabilization can begin...

Also, where have I ever said anything about Canadian citizenship????? READ MAN READ

Nothing in that chat do I see they won't ask you for ID.

They said for you to contact them, they will then update. In that contact you might be asked.

HOWEVER, In an xpanda thread (I forget where on the forum) somebody stated you can go into a canadian DMV and get some sort of non drivers license ID if you have a mailbox..

Somebody at SBR posted this:

Wouldn't be surprised. They just closed my account for trying to make an address change.

So if you managed to change your address to Canada, then requested a check from NT, how do you get it ?

I guess you have to get the check from the book itself ?

I was never asked for ID with NETeller. Not when I opened up the account, and not when I changed my address, either.

Our Ministry of Transportation offices don't issue non-traffic related documents. And the only ID they issue is a driver's license. So I have no idea what this is or why someone told you this.

Get a Canadian bank account, too, and you can simply withdraw funds via EFT like you do now. Then wire the money from your Canadian account to your US account.
